Mountain Biking in the Zillertal — Trails, Location and Conditions
The Zillertal with the Zillertal Arena offers around 325 km of bike routes for every skill level — from flat valley paths to singletrails with a fun factor. The “Wiesenalm” singletrail in Zell am Ziller and four trails on the Isskogel in Gerlos are the highlights of the lift-served singletrail network. Bike transport, bike wash and hire right at the Rosenalmbahn lift.
Riding areas at a glance
- Zillertal Arena: 325 km of bike routes for every skill level — valley routes, forest trails and singletrails
- Wiesenalm singletrail (Zell am Ziller): friendly for fit beginners while still interesting for advanced riders
- Four trails on the Isskogel (Gerlos): various difficulty levels, embedded in the terrain — the region’s fun-factor hotspot
- Lift infrastructure: dedicated bike gondolas, a bike-wash station and hire/service right at the Rosenalmbahn lift
What suits you?
- Trail and flow fans: the four Isskogel trails in Gerlos and the Wiesenalm trail cover a wide skill range well — lift laps allow structured skill building
- E-bike leisure riders: the Zillertal with its side valleys (Tuxertal, Stillupgrund, Zemmgrund) is one of Austria’s largest e-bike touring areas — plenty of mountain pastures and classic Tyrolean huts as day-trip destinations
- Beginners and families: the lift-accessible Wiesenalm trail and the flat valley paths make the Zillertal very beginner-friendly — we like to build coaching days here step by step
With Innsbruck, the Achensee and the Pinzgau (Gerlos Pass) nearby, our coaching days stay flexible — if the Zillertal is rained out, three different climate zones are within reach in 30–60 minutes.
