Mountain Biking in Seefeld — Trails, Location and Conditions
The Seefeld plateau lies between the Wetterstein and Karwendel ranges — one of Tyrol’s highest biking regions, with a distinctly family- and e-bike-friendly character. 570 km of route network, plus Bikepark Katzenkopf in Leutasch and classic tours such as Gaistal and Seebensee. If you’re looking for bike coaching on a quiet high plateau, you’re in the right place.

- E-bike leisure riders: the Seefeld plateau is one of Tyrol’s best e-bike regions — manageable elevation gain, well-kept paths, plenty of working alpine huts and a quiet valley character, ideal for long, easy-going days out
- Beginners and families: the Katzenkopf bike park and the flat plateau routes make Seefeld one of Tyrol’s most beginner-friendly regions — perfect for your first biking experiences
With the Karwendel Nature Park right next door and Innsbruck just 25 minutes away, coaching stays flexible — if the weather turns on the plateau, the Inn valley trails or the Achensee area are quickly reached.

Frequently asked questions about biking in Seefeld
What difficulty levels can I ride in Seefeld?
Seefeld is especially well suited to beginners and leisure riders. There are relaxed alpine-pasture tours with moderate climbs, easy-going forest tracks around the Seefeld plateau and Bikepark Katzenkopf for trail fun. More demanding tours into the Karwendel (e.g. the Hinterautal) are also within reach.
Do I need my own e-bike or can I rent one?
On request we arrange rental e-bikes (hardtail, full-suspension, depending on the tour profile) including helmet and instruction. You don’t need to bring your own bike — just tell us your height and your preferred tour profile when you enquire.
What’s the best way to get to Seefeld?
Seefeld is directly reachable from Innsbruck by train in about 35 min (Karwendelbahn). By car via the A12 / B177 (Zirler Berg) it’s about 25 min from Innsbruck. If you’re travelling with your bike we recommend the train — taking bikes on board is no problem.
What else does Seefeld offer besides biking?
After the ride: wellness in the hotels around the Wildsee, a charming old town with cafés and restaurants, the Seekirchl walking path and the Seefelder Joch (cable car) for panoramic views. In summer there’s also SUP on the Wildsee, hiking and via ferratas within reach.
