Mountain Biking in the Ötztal — Trails, Location and Conditions
With Bike Republic Sölden, the Ötztal is home to one of Austria’s most modern and fastest-growing bikepark areas — 12 shaped lines, 18 natural singletrails and 2 pumptracks, plus several new trails for 2026. If you want to combine a high-alpine bikepark vibe with tour options, the Ötztal has everything you need.
Areas at a glance
- Bike Republic Sölden: 12 shaped lines, 18 natural singletrails, 2 pumptracks — spread across Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch
- New for 2026: the Hupfar Jumpline (1.55 km, red, with tables, rollers, drops and berms), the blue Drimmle Line connecting Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch (no valley descent in between), the Traien Trail extended to 2.3 km, and a new pumptrack
- 2026 season: Summer Kickstart on 04/06/2026, BRS Festival 18–21/06/2026
- Tour areas: alongside the bikepark, classic Ötztal tour routes towards Vent, Längenfeld and the Pitztal Glacier
What suits you?
- Trail and flow fans: the new Hupfar Jumpline is ridable in stages — beginners learning to jump progress just as well as pros. The Drimmle Line allows endless lift swaps between Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch
- E-bike leisure riders: the Ötztal offers classic alpine-pasture tours to staffed mountain huts — moderate climbs on forest roads, plus plenty of day destinations such as Wurzbergalm or Stallenalm
- Beginners and families: the new blue Drimmle Line and the practice areas in the bikepark are specifically designed for beginners — Sölden is one of the few bikepark areas with a dedicated beginner setup
With Pitztal, Imst and the Reschenpass bike region nearby, coaching stays flexible — if the weather closes in over the Ötztal, alpine alternatives are quickly within reach.
