MTB Skills Level 1 — Basic & Safety
Your first level beyond the foundation course: controlled cornering, braking variations and small trail sections. For riders who are already confident on tarmac and gravel.
Led by Thomas Baldermann (state-certified gravity instructor, BSPA & Level 1 bike guide)
Coach on the day: Thomas or a team guide (trained in-house). Same level of safety and methodology.

When is Level 1 right for you?
When you can already ride, brake and take simple corners confidently — and now want to try your first easy trails.
Braking routine
Modulating front and rear brakes, emergency braking, reading braking noises — until it becomes second nature.
First trails
We move from the practice area onto your first flat singletrails — small roots and gentle berms.

You leave the course with a solid braking routine and your first real trail miles.

What is Level 1 Basic Safety?
The first level after the Level 0 introduction: controlled cornering, braking variations and easy trail sections. For riders who already ride confidently and now want their first singletrails.
What does Level 1 cost?
Regular day/weekend courses from 89 € per person. Private coaching 320 € for the 1st person, +80 € per additional person.
Which bike do I need?
MTB hardtail or full-suspension (100 mm travel or more), helmet mandatory. Rental MTBs can be arranged on request.
When is the next Level 1 course?
Regular dates in the course calendar (weekends from May). Private dates all year round by arrangement.
