Mountain Biking in Kitzbühel — Trails, Location and Conditions
Everyone knows Kitzbühel for the Streif in the winter season — yet in summer it is one of the most varied MTB areas in Tyrol: long descents with plenty of vertical metres and stunning views from the Hahnenkamm and the Kitzbüheler Horn, plus a dense network of trails and tracks made up of forest roads, alpine paths, flow trails and natural singletrack. It is exactly this mix of a varied trail network that makes the area a perfect mountain biking destination. Whether you want to practise, soak it in or rip quick trail laps, there is something for everyone.
The areas at a glance
- 360° Flow Trails Kitzbühel–Kirchberg: the official heart of the region — flow trails in various difficulty levels, ridable without limit with the Gravity Card
- Hahnenkamm & Kitzbüheler Horn: classic descent routes with plenty of vertical metres and views — great for long trail laps
What suits you in Kitzbühel?
- Trail and flow fans: the 360° Flow Trails between Kitzbühel and Kirchberg, plus descents from the Hahnenkamm and the Kitzbüheler Horn — flexibly ridable with the Gravity Card. Focus: line choice, jumping technique, long trail laps.
- E-bike leisure riders: Kitzbühel is one of the loveliest alpine-pasture areas in the Tyrolean lowlands — moderate climbs to working mountain huts with a classic hut stop and long, enjoyable descents back into the valley. Ideal for relaxed day tours with a view.
- Beginners and families: a gentle introduction to trail riding on the flow trails, plus shorter e-bike loops without big elevation changes.
With the Wilder Kaiser and Brixental right next door, the coaching stays flexible — if the weather closes in over Kitzbühel, we switch to the neighbouring valley at short notice.
