Mountain Biking in Leutasch — Trails, Location and Conditions
Leutasch lies on the western edge of the Seefeld Plateau — home to the Katzenkopf Bike Park, one of the most beginner-friendly lift-served areas in Tyrol. Three single trails, a pump track and a practice area between 1,100 and 1,360 metres of altitude make Leutasch the ideal spot for a structured introduction to bike parks and relaxed family days.
Areas at a glance
- Katzenkopf Bike Park: 3 single trails, pump track and practice area — altitude 1,100–1,360 m, explicitly designed for families and beginners
- Leutasch Valley: a classic Tyrolean high valley with a well-maintained network of forest and pasture tracks — great conditions for touring days
- Seefeld Plateau link-up: the Seefeld region’s 570 km route network is directly accessible — switching to plateau tours is easy
What suits you?
- Trail and flow fans: the Katzenkopf Bike Park is small but focused — three trails are plenty for structured skill-building without being overwhelming
- E-bike leisure riders: the Leutasch Valley and the Gaistal towards Seebensee offer some of the finest e-bike day tours in the region — moderate climbs and many working alpine huts as a day’s destination
- Beginners and families: Leutasch is one of the few areas in Tyrol aimed specifically at families and bike park beginners — we love running first-time bike park coaching sessions here
If the weather closes in at Katzenkopf, Seefeld, Innsbruck and the Achental are 25–40 minutes away — we switch location flexibly.
