What family-friendly means

3 criteria for a family-friendly bike park visit

Family-friendly means to us: your child can start relaxed with beginner skills and progress step by step — without feeling overwhelmed.

Skill areas for practising

All 6 bike parks have practice areas (pump track, wall rides, mini drops) — kids start in a controlled way before heading to the lift lines.

Safe blue lines

Blue flow lines with a moderate gradient, wide berms and no mandatory drops. Parents can ride along or watch.

Coaching available too

Private coaching per bike park on request — we know all 6 parks personally and plan lines to suit your child’s level.

What families say

73 reviews · 4.97 out of 5 stars

“We booked a family day with Thomas at Bikepark Mutters — by the end both kids (9 + 11 years) were prouder than we parents were. He instantly strikes the right tone, has patience and knows exactly which lines fit.”

Frequently asked questions about family-friendly bike parks in Tyrol

Are there family-friendly bike parks in Tyrol?

Yes — we recommend seven Tyrolean bike parks to families: Bikepark Innsbruck/Mutters, AREA 47 (Ötztal), Bike Republic Sölden, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, Bike-Arena Zugspitz (Lermoos-Biberwier), Bikepark Nauders and Bikepark Katzenkopf (Wildschönau). All have skill areas for practising and blue beginner lines.

From what age is a bike park suitable for children?

Pump tracks and skill areas work from around 6-8 years with their own MTB. For lift lines we recommend ages 8+ and prior singletrack experience. A helmet is mandatory; knee/elbow pads and gloves are strongly recommended.

What bike does my child need in the bike park?

A correctly sized kids’ MTB (24″-27.5″ wheel), hardtail or full-suspension with at least 100 mm of travel. A helmet is mandatory. We can arrange rental kids’ MTBs including protective gear on request.

Do you offer bike park coaching for families?

Yes — private coaching for families (parents + kids) from €320 (2.5 h for the 1st person, +€80 per additional person, max. 7 riders). We choose the bike park and lines to suit the whole family’s level.
