Frequently asked questions about the repair courses
Who are the repair courses for?
For anyone who has their own MTB or e-MTB and wants to understand how it works. No mechanical background needed – we start from zero. Whether you’re a beginner or someone who already watches YouTube videos and still gets stuck: you’ll fit right in.
What do I need for a workshop?
Your own MTB or e-MTB (hardtail or full-suspension). Tools, sealant and consumables are included. Dress so you don’t mind getting a bit dirty.
How long does a workshop last?
Depending on the topic, 2 to 4 hours. Bike care, trailside repairs and brake bleeding are compact 2-hour workshops. Tubeless, drivetrain/gears and suspension-fork service tend to take 3–4 hours.
Where do the workshops take place?
At the GEMMA AUSSI bike school in Innsbruck/Tyrol. You’ll receive the exact address and parking info after booking.
Can I book a workshop just for my group?
Yes. From 3 people upwards we’re happy to arrange a dedicated date – with custom content that matches your level and your type of bike. Just ask.
Does this apply to e-bikes too?
Yes – most workshops (bike care, tubeless, brakes, trailside repairs) work just the same on an e-MTB. With the drivetrain and gears there are slight differences, which we discuss on site.
Are the repair courses also for kids?
Yes! The ‘Kids’ Repair Course’ is aimed at children aged 8 and up and is often booked together with a parent. The perfect family activity for everyone who wants to get to know their bike from the inside.
Are there women-only workshops?
Yes – the MTB Girls Repair Course is exclusively for women. No mixed groups, no mansplaining. Just good questions and solid answers.
