What you’ll take away

After this workshop you’ll be able to…

Adjust the gears

Adjust front and rear derailleur, check limit screws, re-tension shift cables – you’ll know what’s sticking and how to fix it.

Adjust the brakes

Check pads for wear, adjust lever position, eliminate brake noise – your brakes stop cleanly.

🧹

Cleaning & basic care

Lube the chain properly, clean the frame, check bearings, quick check before every ride – the foundation for a long bike life.

How it works

Your workshop in detail

  1. Meet & bike check
A quick introduction and a shared look at your bike – what do you need, where’s the problem?
  2. Theory (short & sweet)
You’ll understand how gears, brakes and chain work together. By example – not from a textbook.
  3. Hands-on at your own bike
You do the wrenching, we guide you. Lube the chain, adjust brakes, fine-tune gears – all tried out for real.
  4. Wrap-up & tips
What to check regularly? How do I tell something is wearing out? You’ll go home with a clear care plan.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the bike care workshop for?

For anyone who rides their bike regularly and wants to maintain it themselves. No prior knowledge needed – you just need your own bike.

What happens if my bike isn’t cared for at all?

The chain wears faster and chews through cassette and chainrings. Brakes become unreliable. Bearings fail sooner. All clearly more expensive than a workshop.

Can I bring an e-MTB too?

Yes. Basic care and gear adjustment work just the same as on a regular MTB.

How often should I care for my bike?

Clean and lube the chain after every muddy ride. Basic service check (brakes, gears, bearings) roughly every 50–100 hours of riding time.
